Wine Blogging as Marketing Disruption


Back in May I blogged about GapingVoid getting involved in a viral-marketing wine giveaway to UK bloggers. Well, after some minor communication confusion, my bottle of Stormhoek Sauvignon Blanc 2005 arrived today. Not only that, but I got a clever little GapingVoid booklet, with a description of the marketing disruption idea (and, of course, some funny-as-shit drawings).

This is a clever idea, I think. Will it work? Dunno, but it’s a hell of a lot better than some of the half-assed ideas I’ve seen tried in marketing. No matter what happens from here, I like it! I’ll let you know how the wine tastes when I come back from Canada in a week or two.
