UK government consults with public on science policy

Big thanks to The Scientific Activist for spotting and blogging about this: the UK Department for Innovation, Universities & Skills wants public input on the science strategy input they’ve already received from scientists, broadcasters and businesspeople.

The main questions the Department is looking at are the ways in which society uses science, science education, and the diversity of the science workforce. There’s some video outlining what some of the “big questions” are, the consultation paper is available for download, there’s a webforum inviting input, methods for keeping up-to-date on the debate, and more.

Come on, Brits. This is our society, our government, and therefore our policies. Understanding them is a good thing.Submitting opinions is an even better thing.
